Gilet L Kagibari ami no daily wear #1

I saw it at Bourriquet’s, and I felt « in love » with it : the L cardigan/shrug, pattern in crochet from the book Kagibari ami no daily wear – Haru Natsu, available at Junku’s bookstore.

You can go see the two made by Bourriquet on her blog : HERE for the 1st one and HERE for the 2nd one.

I would have love to buy the book, but this book ONLY has crochet patterns. And I do not crochet (yet).
So I had to build the pattern for knitting, that was possible thanks to the picture Bourriquet took on which we can see the shrug pattern.

A little bit of Photoshop and folding papers, here it is.

Voici donc la forme du patron, qu’il faut faire deux fois en symétrie (axe vertical) / Here is the pattern « shape » that must be done twice, symmetrically (on vertical axis) :

Côté gauche/ Left side
Côté Droit /Right Side

On one side, there is both back, front and collar. Work is fold a first time (red lign) at the center of the armhole, which makes front and back « superimposed » :

Work is fold an other time, at the center of collar (blue lign) :

Les deux côtés ensemble à plat. / The two sides together, not fold :

The two sides with fold at collar :

The « top » of the collar on one side will be sewed with the « top » of the collar of the other side, making the sewing on the middle of the neck (back side) :

Here a picture with the front only of the two sides (back deleted) :

… pour mieux visualiser le passage à l’image avec le dos plié / … to better see how we get to this picture with the back fold :

In orange, it is the back :

The two sides of back are cross/superimposed on a part of them, when putting the two sides of the collar right next together. On the picture, I left some space between the two collar parts so we can better see and better explain how to sew after, but in reality, there is no space at all. The back, in orange on the second picture is in reality not visible from the front :

Ce qui donne ceci pour les coutures :
1 (violet) – le dos et le devant sont cousus ensemble au niveau des épaules ;
2 (orange) – les deux dos sont cousus ensemble sur la partie où ils se croisent ;
3 (vert) – les deux « haut » du col sont cousus ensemble, formant donc la couture au milieu de la nuque ;
For sewing :
1 (violet) – back and front will be sew together at shoulders ;
2 (orange) – the two sides of back will be sew together where they cross ;
3 (green) – the two « top » of collar will be sew together, making the sewing on the middle of the neck (back side) ;
4 (sea green) – the outside parts of collar (shoulder side) are sewn to back(s) (on the orange part where they cross).

Without the space between the two collar parts and so in reality, that makes these two images, without and with sewing instructions :

Quelques photos du pliage papier ICI pour visualiser le montage/Some pictures of my folding paper HERE to see how to build the pattern.

For measurements/sizes, I will write an other article soon, I’m working on it on excel.
@ bientôt ! / Cya !
